Lay Rescuer CPR
Course Description
This course includes instruction on recognizing the signs and symptoms of sudden illness or injury, and how to respond while maintaining your own safety. The course covers splinting fractures, control of bleeding, treatment of shock, as well as other emergency situations encountered by rescuers every day.
Who Should Take the Lay Rescuer CPR Course?
The beginner information provided in this CPR course is vital to anyone interested in gaining baseline knowledge of CPR. Babysitters, volunteers, service workers, and parents are examples of people who will benefit from learning the latest CPR techniques and standards.
Course Length, Content, & Cost
The CPR course runs approximately 2 hours depending on class size. This course includes a student workbook, video presentation, instructor-led discussions, instructor-led practice scenarios, and peer practice sessions. MediTech, LLC offers this class for only $30 per participant. A minimum class cost of $300. Upon successful completion, each participant will receive a course completion card from EMS Safety Services, Inc. in accordance with American Heart Association.
Course Objectives
The Lay Rescuer CPR course was developed to achieve an increase in awareness and knowledge of CPR techniques. By enhancing the lay rescuers knowledge of early access and early CPR, the lay rescuer will be more confident and calm in an emergency situation.
